Global Interest Rate Strategy: The Great Balancing Act

Trading in global rates during 2009 will be more tactical versus 2008, when the focus was more strategic. Market support and stimulus from the public sector needs to be balanced so as to facilitate private sector activity. Thus, a new set of global market dynamics is put in motion: policy, supply, inflation and leverage. In 2009, we will use new metrics to gauge the interaction of these factors and evaluate tactical trading opportunities.
